What Are AI Credits?
AI Credits are tokens that allow you to use our AI-powered features. Each credit represents one AI action, such as analyzing your resume, enhancing it with AI, or generating a cover letter. Credits are used only for features that leverage advanced AI technology to provide intelligent assistance.
Think of credits as your monthly budget for AI assistance. Every plan includes a certain number of credits that reset automatically, giving you a fresh allocation each billing period.
How Credits Work

Most AI actions cost 1 credit each. This includes:

Credit Periods
Credits are allocated based on your subscription plan and reset automatically:
Monthly Plans
Credits reset on the same day each month based on when you signed up. For example, if you signed up on the 15th, your credits reset on the 15th of every month.
Upgrading Mid-Period
If you upgrade your plan during your billing period, you'll immediately receive a new credit allocation based on your new plan. Your credits reset to the full amount for your new tier, and the period continues until your normal reset date.

What happens if I run out of credits?
If you run out of credits, you'll see a notification when trying to use AI features. You can either wait until your credits reset (on your monthly reset date), or upgrade to a plan with more credits. All non-AI features remain fully accessible.
Do unused credits carry over?
Unused credits don't carry over—they reset to your plan's full allocation on your reset date. For example, if you have 20 credits remaining when your period resets, you'll start the new period with your plan's full allocation (not 20 + your allocation).
Can I buy additional credits?
Currently, additional credit purchases are not available. If you need more credits, you can upgrade to a plan with a higher credit allocation. We're always working on new features, so stay tuned for updates!
Why do some features use credits and others don't?
Credits are only used for features that leverage advanced AI technology, which have usage costs. Manual features like building resumes, downloading PDFs, or tracking jobs don't require AI processing, so they're free for all users.
How do I check my credit balance?
Your credit balance is displayed in the "Plan & Usage" section on your dashboard. You'll see how many credits you have remaining, how many you've used, and when your credits will reset.
