1. Who We Are and Acceptance of Terms
Resumedit is a service of MundusWeb LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“MundusWeb,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). “Resumedit” is a trade name of MundusWeb LLC. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and MundusWeb LLC.
By accessing or using Resumedit (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Resumedit provides AI-powered tools for creating, analyzing, and managing resumes, cover letters, and job applications. We offer various subscription plans with different features and usage limits.
3. Eligibility and User Accounts
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the Service, and we will close any account we learn belongs to someone under 18.
3.2 Account Creation
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
3.3 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Share your account credentials with others
4.1 Information You Should Not Upload
Please do not upload or paste Social Security numbers, national identification numbers, driver's licence or passport numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, or health information into the Service. A resume does not need them and we do not want to hold them. If you include them anyway you do so at your own risk, and we may remove them.
5. Subscription and Payment
5.1 Subscription Plans
We offer various subscription plans with different features and pricing. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time.
5.2 Automatic Renewal and Payment
Subscriptions renew automatically. When you subscribe, you authorize us to charge your payment method the then-current fee at the start of each billing period, monthly for a monthly plan and annually for an annual plan, until you cancel. Your plan, your price, and your next renewal date are shown on your Account page, and we email a receipt for every charge.
You can cancel at any time from your Account page, in no more steps than it took to subscribe. No phone call, no email, no retention conversation. Cancelling stops all future charges. Except as required by law, and except under the 7-day money-back guarantee described in Section 5.3, fees are non-refundable.
5.3 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of your purchase for a full refund. The guarantee applies to the first payment on a subscription, and it is not conditional on how much of the Service you have used.
You do not need to contact us to claim it. While you are inside the 7-day window, you can request the refund yourself from your Account page. Doing so cancels your subscription immediately, ends your access to paid features, and removes any remaining AI credits from your account. The refund is returned in full to your original payment method and typically appears within 5 to 10 business days.
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Outside the 7-day money-back guarantee window, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, no refund is issued for the remainder of that period, and you will continue to have access to paid features until the period ends.
5.5 Credits for AI Features
Paid plans include a monthly allowance of AI credits, spent when you use AI features such as resume enhancement, analysis, and cover letter generation.
Credits have no cash value. They cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for money, and they are not property. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. If your subscription ends, because you cancel, because a payment fails, or because you take the 7-day refund, any remaining credits are removed at that point.
We may change the number of credits included in a plan, or what a given action costs, with notice to you before the change takes effect.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MundusWeb LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create using the Service.
7. Your Content
You keep ownership of everything you upload to or create with the Service.
You grant MundusWeb LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you and to deliver the features you ask for. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies held in routine backups until they expire on their normal schedule.
We do not use your resumes, cover letters, job descriptions, or other content to train artificial intelligence models, ours or anyone else's. We do not sell your content or license it to any third party. Our AI providers process your content only to return a result to you and are contractually prohibited from training on it.
We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you or your content, for example how many resumes were processed in a month or how often a template is chosen, to operate and improve the Service.
8. AI Processing and Consent
By using the Service, you consent to AI processing of your data. This includes:
- Processing of your resume content, job descriptions, and related data by AI services (including OpenAI's API) to provide AI-powered features
- Use of AI for resume generation, enhancement, analysis, parsing, and cover letter generation
- Processing of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the privacy policies of our AI service providers
This consent covers processing your content to return a result to you. It does not permit training AI models on your content, which we do not do, as stated in Section 7.
AI-generated content is provided “as is” and may require review and editing. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for your specific needs. Your use of AI-powered features is subject to the terms and privacy policies of our AI service providers, including OpenAI's privacy policy and terms of service.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily interrupt service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MUNDUSWEB DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR APPLICATION, OR THAT USING THE SERVICE WILL PRODUCE AN INTERVIEW OR A JOB OFFER. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT BEFORE YOU SEND IT TO AN EMPLOYER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MundusWeb will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business or employment opportunity, whether or not we were advised that such loss was possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MundusWeb's total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, or to your obligations under Section 12 (Indemnification).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this Section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MundusWeb LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
14. Copyright and Takedown Requests
We respect copyright. If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@resumedit.com including: your contact details; identification of the work you say is infringed; identification of the material you want removed and where it is on the Service; a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove or disable material that is the subject of a valid notice and will notify the user who supplied it. That user may send us a counter-notice at the same address. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date, and, for changes that materially affect your rights, by email to the address on your account. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
16. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver
Please read this Section carefully. It affects your legal rights.
16.1 Talk to Us First
Before filing any claim, contact us at legal@resumedit.com and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.
16.2 Binding Arbitration
If we cannot resolve it, you and MundusWeb agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. Arbitration will take place in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, or by video or telephone, or in the county where you live, at your election.
16.3 Exceptions
Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek injunctive relief in court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
16.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND MUNDUSWEB AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. If this waiver is held unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court and the rest of this Section still applies.
16.5 Your Right to Opt Out
You may opt out of this Section by emailing legal@resumedit.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, giving your name, your account email, and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out affects nothing else in these Terms.
17. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the Service, are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 16 (Dispute Resolution), you and MundusWeb agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
Nothing in this Section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of the state where you live.
18. General
18.1 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions stay in full force.
18.2 Survival
Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18 survive termination of your account or of these Terms.
18.3 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you.
18.4 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and MundusWeb about the Service, and replace any earlier agreement or understanding about it.
18.5 Notices
We give you notice by email to the address on your account or by posting on the Service. You give us notice by email to legal@resumedit.com.
18.6 No Waiver
If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
18.7 Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for a delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages at our hosting, database, or payment providers.
